But these listings are also kind of pointless. So in answer to your question I think I'd add Berlin, Berlin has masses of fun and old and new culture and stuff happening. But it's a personal choice. And what about Greece, wonderful place. Only puzzle for me is Queenstown New Zealand, I have never met anyone who's been there or heard anything about it,so clearly it needs to go on the old "must visit" list.Jenny Woolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16881781466502273314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-91905598596153438212011-07-23T14:26:51.515+09:002011-07-23T14:26:51.515+09:00Thanks Lina, well done to Sydney but I would have ...Thanks Lina, well done to Sydney but I would have Melbourne above Sydney personally.

Thanks Nicus, yes I was surprised with that as well, but I have never visited Cape Town so can't really compare it to the other cities.

Thanks Daphne, agree with you totally about Kyoto.

Thanks AdelaideBen, yes it must be hard compiling lists like this. I agree with you about Melbourne and have never visited Cape Town so can't comment, but like you was surprised.

Thanks Wasaweb, would love to visit them all as well. I've heard great things about Berlin and would love to check it out one day!!Japan Australiahttp://japan-australia.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-82164972330788726192011-07-23T08:34:37.716+09:002011-07-23T08:34:37.716+09:00It's really comparing apples and oranges, so I...It's really comparing apples and oranges, so I'm not really sure what to make of this list, except that I'd like to visit them all. I live in one of the places mentioned (London, UK) and have visited four other places. Personally, I'd have rated Berlin, Germany, pretty high.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-33600114556874113792011-07-22T22:10:47.474+09:002011-07-22T22:10:47.474+09:00Very hard to come up with meaningful lists on thes...Very hard to come up with meaningful lists on these things... coz after all, how many people have been to more than a couple of these places. I can say I've been lucky and have been to 6 out of the 12... and I would group them sort of Paris/Kyoto; then New York/London; then Hong Kong/Sydney... perhaps Sydney is last just due to the fact I have been there enough.... actually, I prefer Melbourne over Sydney... I wouldn't have put it at #2...

Actually, I also had a lot of time for Copenhagen (but that's a different story).

I'm a little surprised at Cape Town being #1... haven't been there, but, just surprised. What was the criteria though? Why are most of these cities? Also... I thought Las Vegas being #25 in the list was a bit suspect.... really?!?!AdelaideBenhttp://www.japaneseties.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-17055842288642491572011-07-22T21:09:40.302+09:002011-07-22T21:09:40.302+09:00Totally agree! The city has so many hidden treasures, where you can find both tradition and modern life styles.Daphnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13296197691882066824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-64691202062422416142011-07-22T15:24:02.308+09:002011-07-22T15:24:02.308+09:00I think this list has been biased by TripAdvisor&#...I think this list has been biased by TripAdvisor's users or information distribution.
It is not realistic that Cape Town is well above London, Venice, New York or Kyoto...Nicushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06399361948217920178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-14749528169287360582011-07-22T12:52:39.504+09:002011-07-22T12:52:39.504+09:00Congrats to Sydney for getting second place.:)Congrats to Sydney for getting second place.:)linahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17273605189937933589noreply@blogger.com
