In Japan, we like to add mirin, dashi and soy sauce for extra flavour and sweetness. We also like to dip the Tamagoyaki in a sauce made up of soy sauce and grated daikon. Give both recipes a try and see which you like the best.

JohnJapan-Australiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07970708785185874284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-89721079853799138232012-06-16T16:56:35.824+09:002012-06-16T16:56:35.824+09:00Hi,Japan-Australia, I searched this sweet egg roll...Hi,Japan-Australia, I searched this sweet egg roll receipt a few months ago, and wonder why there are different ingredients to be added, some are simply only egg sugar & salt, others like yours, with mirin, etc, do they really taste so different? which is a more traditional way in Japanese style? Hope you can help me to figure out this mystery, thank :)antleelihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09421353461350662583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-31255629758956546632012-06-12T12:59:11.252+09:002012-06-12T12:59:11.252+09:00Thanks Lisa, Kids love it as well and it is a favo...Thanks Lisa, Kids love it as well and it is a favourite in my son's bento :)

JohnJapan-Australiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07970708785185874284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-22434658314795300992012-06-11T22:58:50.931+09:002012-06-11T22:58:50.931+09:00That would be good to make for my kid's bentos...That would be good to make for my kid's bentos.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07379772909673554487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4045859997804888278.post-83628014457707222092012-06-11T09:11:39.649+09:002012-06-11T09:11:39.649+09:00Thanks StarBrooke, It is not too bad and the foldi...Thanks StarBrooke, It is not too bad and the folding is the hardest part just like with Okonomiyaki. The problem is that I'm sooo bad with eggs. I can cook other things, but I force my husband to make omelets when I want them. Are you sure this folding bit is easy?
