  1. Those girls are so popular. I guess guys hate seeing them dressed in tiny bikinis though!

  2. Thanks Lisa, Yeah, they are very popular and seem to go number 1 each time! I think most of their fans are guys, so the bikinis are a well planned part of the groups image :)

    2. I was going to request another foody post - your recipes are always to lekker easy to make! - but you beat me to it.

I like reading about places outside Tokyo, but you probably have a few posts up your sleeve anyway! Right? ;)

    3. Thanks Rurousha, The foody posts are always popular. I have just posted this month's Japanese Recipe of the Month - Tamagoyaki. Got a few posts up my sleeve, so stayed tuned :)

  5. I have to admit that the group is nice to look at (especially in the bikini's) but The music's not for me. But you have to admire the people behind the scenes who created this business model (and it is most definitely a very profitable business).

    1. Thanks Thomas, Not everyone's cup of tea but they are very popular and successful in Japan and starting to spread with new groups popping up over Asia. The business model is very sound and only now the top 3 songs on the Japanese Jpop Oricon charts are from AKB48 or sub-units of the group.
