ReplyDeleteFor me it's not so much about time but to avoid wastage. I usually can't finish a tub of miso paste before its expiry date. :(

ReplyDeleteThanks JTM, it's a classic Japanese combo of rice, miso soup and grilled fish. Miso soup is traditionally served at the end of the meal together with gohan (boiled rice) and tsukemono (pickles).
Miso soup is one of my favorites, especially with tonkatsu (one of my favorite dishes, too) :)
