Red Hill Winter Wine Fest
Red Hill Showgrounds will hold a Winter Wine Fest on Saturday, June 12th. The Red Hill Winter Wine Fest will showcase the produce of more than 50 peninsula wineries. The launch event is the Winter Wine Fest on Saturday but there is more for the lovers of wine over the weekend with the Winter Wine Weekend. This weekend 50-plus peninsula wineries are throwing open cellar doors and pulling bungs on barrels to showcase the diversity of the Mornington Peninsula wine region, which is just on Melbourne`s door-step at just an hour`s drive away.

Sorrento Food and Wine Festival
Sorrento is staging its first food and wine festival next week with 20 events over 6 days. It will be a feast of food, jazz and shiraz. The Sorrento food and wine festival is from June 6-11 and will feature jazz and shiraz, masterclasses, cooking demonstrations and tastings, gourmet menus, music, film, art and wine tasting at various locations around town.

The Rosebud Kebab House and Charcoal Chicken located at 1/913 Point Nepean Rd, Rosebud has the best kebabs and souvlakis not only on the Mornington Peninsula but in Victoria. The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival
The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is the largest celebration of its kind in the world, and this month (12-23 March) the city and the state will be bursting with flavour filled events. There are 250 events in all, 75 of them in regional Victoria. Events range from the exclusive masterclasses with some of the world`s great food and wine people, and the Gala Dinner at Prahran Market (17 March) to the populist, including the evergreen Asian street style Hawkers Market at Queen Victoria Market (15-17 March), and 60 Victorian wineries participating at Cellar Door at Southgate (20-21 March).

In Blairgowrie, try Cornell`s Fresh Seafood (2961 Pt Nepean Rd, Blairgowrie) open daily from 9am to 5pm. Throughout summer, Mt Martha grown blue mussels from Bay Sea Farms are available at Mornington Pier based ship/shop Sabina II as well as oysters, prawns scallops and abalone. Open Sat-Sun and public holidays from 11:3am to 5pm. The Hutchins Brothers sell their daily catch through an old beach box near Mornington (94 Fishermans Beach). Open daily from 9am to 5pm.
