Your Eyes by Arashi

This week's Japanese Song of the Week is Your Eyes by Arashi, which has debuted at number 1 on the Japanese J-pop Oricon charts.

Arashi (嵐) which means storm in Japanese is a five member group from the famous Johnny's Entertainment group. Their musical style ranges from Pop to R&B and Hip-Hop with a bit of Rock thrown in for good measure.

The group debuted in 1999 and this is the group's 39th single. The song is very touching and typical of Arashi.

  6. Heh...I remember giving a lesson in which I talked about having bought an Arashi CD. In reality I'm not even sure I've heard any of their music (probably must have heard it "out in the wild" in a store or something, just unaware).

    1. Thanks Blue Shoe, I'm sure you would have heard many Arashi songs when you have been out and about. One of the most popular groups in Japan and they have been around for ages. I like the idea about using them in a lesson.
